Black Cloak Character Creator Game 2.0!

That’s right, you loved it the first time, now you can love it all over again! And get a second chance to win!

For the uninitiated, we played a little game while building BLACK CLOAK Volume 1 to let one reader create their own character (using the game below) and Meredith then designed that character and we wrote them into the book.

To play the game — you simply use the steps below to build your character and then post your results in the comments and you’ll be entered to win the chance for that character to be written into a future issue of BLACK CLOAK in a small (speaking) role. Last time reader Nicole won with her adorable Goblin Nycila — who showed up in a few panels of Volume 1 (and will also show up in Volume 2). I kept the basis of the previous game, but I added some new classes and mixed things up a bit so that people would be more likely to get different results than last time.

Post your character details in the comments by Tuesday, August 28th by 11:59 pm PST and it will then be entered into a blind drawing. I’ll draw one name from the creations and that person will have their character designed by Meredith and written in to a future issue of BLACK CLOAK.

Ready? Okay, here we go!

#1. Pick your favorite set of traits from the list below — whatever you identify most with, find the most fun, or just whatever suits you:

#2. Match your birth month below to find your character class:

#3. Create your character’s name by taking either your first or last (or middle!) name and exchanging ALL the vowels with different vowels, your choice!

So for example KELLY could become KILLO or KELLE. Or THOMPSON could become THYMPSYN, etc.

#4. Choose your character’s gender identity - obviously we accept all identities.

Once you have your character, in the comments section of this post, post the number from your traits choice, the month of your birth/class, tell me your new name and the gender you’ve chosen for you character. Boom. You’re done!

For example mine would be: 9, Kelle, June/Taka, Female.
