I’ve respected marching bands for their skill but that video may be the first time I’ve ever wanted to describe them as Bad-Ass. Awesome.

For me, I always come back to MIA’s video for ‘Bad Girls’.

I love it because it takes a traditional hip-hop “flexing” video and puts it in a setting that is not common here in the west. And that shot of her on the car? COME ON.

OMG that Justice video got me pumped up AND teary, which is a neat feat.

I'm partial to this song+video by the Viagra Boys ("Sports").

All of the Daniels music videos are so great!

One of my favorite songs / videos of all time is Acid Rain by Lorn. From concept to choreography to cinematography it blows me away and overwhelms me with so many powerful emotions. Haunting and gorgeous.

When it comes to getting myself into a better mindset I tend to rely on my favorites from growing up. Here’s 2 that still very often get the views from me!

These are great! Nice pick me up. Work is killing me lately. I am SO out of touch with modern music videos! Geez ... I think I'm going to date myself terribly just by saying I thought of a WHOLE different music video thing called Heavy Metal (of the ye olde hair band days). LOL That one is a trip. But yeah, I didn't have MTV during those formative years so I didn't get into music videos until Pop Up video became a thing. My favorites were "Take On Me" by Aha ... obvious reasons. And then the VERY long VERY dramatic power ballad "Anything For Love" by Meatloaf with him dressed as a beast a la Beauty and the Beast. Otherwise, I later fell down the rabbit hole during college of people on YouTube creating these crazy mash ups of Anime movie clips with popular music during the heyday of Napster and pirating. My favorite was "Rythm of the Heat" by Peter Gabriel set pieces of the film Princess Monoke. I have to think it was taken down by now, but maybe not? I dunno. But the combination was very powerful.
