Yaaaaay! So glad you're ok! Missed hearing from you and all the great stuff. Only sad that your Captain Marvel run - so fucking great - is coming to an end but excited for what you do next. Love you loads Kelly 💗
Looks like I'm running to get caught up on Captain Marvel for the Spider Woman I spied! I'm now also re-downloading Puzzle Quest just to get more Jeff!
Yeah, we have a lot of Spider-Woman -- starting all the way back from issue 1 (2019) -- I'm a big Jess fan. Enjoy Puzzle Quest -- the Jeff art for that was suuuuuper cute!
Coming back from college, I drove across (about half) the country with my kid brother and a Fraternity Brother: across from Wisconsin to Seattle and then down the Pacific Coast. I almost did not progress past the Oregon Coast.
I've lived in almost all the "types of environments" available in the US -- Cali, Colorado, Utah, Arizona, Georgia, NYC, and Portland Oregon -- and while I adore California and always will (my birthplace!) The Pacific Northwest just speaks to me on a primal level that none of those other places ever has managed.
Always glad to hear from you, Kelly! Hope you have had a much deserved break and enough time to heal up. Never fun getting blindsided by unexpected illnesses or injury. That beach looks amazing though! So serene and mystical.
This Gambit and Rogue sneak peek totally made my week! I'm just so glad you got to write them again and give us all these amazing moments. Going to miss you writing them more than you know! Really been loving this Captain Marvel run. I'd so love to keep this team around longer. Definitely going to go spread some review love!
Black Cloak has also been a real joy and I'm eager to see where it takes us. Seems to be doing well at my local shop too.
The Cull is looking great and very intrigued to see what your next announcement will be!
I'm glad I could give you some Gambit and Rogue that you'd love. I know fans are struggling a bit right now. It's tough. But they get a couple beautiful moments in 49 that I hope will please everyone. I also wrote them into 50 for a small cameo, but I'm not sure that will make the final cut (it's stuffed pretty full of cameos!)
That's great to hear about Black Cloak -- thank you for sharing! <3
Glad you are feeling better Kelly. Backs are just the worst. My comics and poster were delivered today and it is all awesome. Thanks for sending that along. I’m really looking forward to all the upcoming projects too.
Also, the Brood saga has been great. Thank you for all the excellent captain marvel stories.
Hope you have a great time at the beach and hanging with friends.
Glad your stuff arrived safely and that you've been enjoying our Brood Saga. It's some of the most fun I've had writing the book and I'm glad that's translating! <3
Ugh, the back. I threw mine out two months ago... filling my bird feeder. I know that pain and empathize. Hope you're feeling better. Mine took a couple of weeks to get back to mostly normal.
You work so hard, I wish I could sub in for you to give you some much needed time to recuperate without having to stress. In any case, hope you can get some rest or at least are able to let the sound of the waves soothe you. :) (I just moved away from a beach town; I found the crashing of the waves relaxing).
Listening to waves/being near the beach is my favorite -- a real dream of mine -- one I have thus far not managed in a real way. Sort of a bummer to be honest, but it's rare for most people to get to live near a beach I suppose. I'm sorry you moved away from a beach town -- but I hope it was a good thing?
I absolutely miss the location (I believe you're familiar with Pacifica) and our house, but yeah, it is a good thing. I moved up to the Seattle area over the summer to work on a very special project (noted in my profile). If you peek, I think you'll understand.
And because I'm not getting any younger, I'm hoping this will be the forever home (as much as I miss those waves; they are in my top 3 favorite sounds).
Glad to see you’re back! (No pun intended)... and no sooner did I read this post, than I look in my parcel drop off and there’s a package from you as well!! That’s one helluva an awesome koinkydink!!
So thanks for that! It’s a great Friday pick me up. The package- this post- and this group! Love all around!
I'm not a Founder (except in my heart <3 <3 <3) but I'm here to support you and your work, Kelly. I love getting to read Black Cloak as soon as it's ready, I love reading the behind-the-scenes details of what it takes to make fantastic comics, I love reading about your upcoming projects, etc. Physical prizes are awesome, too but they're not why I'm here. (Also, I didn't sign up knowing there would be X-Men Trading Card Battles, but it turns out they give me life and are absolutely why I'm here.) I guess what I'm trying to say is that this non-Founder (points at self) is perfectly satisfied with his subscription. So there.
And I'm glad you're not here for physical prizes because I hate doing them. haha. A couple high-intensity Kickstarters will do that to a person I suppose! lol
But it means a lot to know you're still happy with the content you're getting. That's what it's all about.
Unfortunately the Founder level is no longer available. I just did it for first year backers -- but in year two I didn't want to focus on physical rewards -- so I deleted that subscription tier. Sorry about that! :(

Thanks, David. Missed you guys too. Back from the Beach Weekend and digging in again, more soon!

I'm so sorry to hear about your back, rest and recover Kelly!
I instantly thought of you when I saw Jeff on Snap lol
My work is done! lol
Coming back from college, I drove across (about half) the country with my kid brother and a Fraternity Brother: across from Wisconsin to Seattle and then down the Pacific Coast. I almost did not progress past the Oregon Coast.
Anyway, glad you feel better.
It's spectacular.

The Pacific Northwest just speaks to me on a primal level that none of those other places ever has managed.
My kid brother moved to Seattle and we had a plant up there for about 10 years. It is always nice to visit.
I lived in Wisconsin and Northern VA. I did six month consulting projects in Orlando and NYC. I have been to 49 of 50 states. But I always come home.
Wait. Which one is "home"?
Southern California.
Yeah, hard to let that go.
I do love the pacific northwest but Cali will always be home.
I am DYING over symbiote Jeff.
Glad you're doing better! I just got my package yesterday and it was a tremendous boost in a wildly stressful day .
We'll try to make it fun. With Gurihiru on board that should be pretty manageable.
Glad you're back and (hopefully) feeling better. Enjoy the beach!
Thanks, Andrew!
Got my package today Kelly, thank you for the bonus Kate Bishop ❤️ Glad to hear we are a collection of sweetie pies 🐢.
Oh! Also, loved the newest issue of Black Cloak!
Thanks, Joe!
Glad your package arrived safely.
Especially glad you loved the newest issue of Black Cloak. ;D

Congrats on the project, Lori! That's awesome!!!
It was so cool to see Jeff show up in Marvel Snap! Now I have to find out what this Puzzle Quest is all about...
Take care!
I've gotten to play him a couple times so far. No huge dramatic wins thanks to him so far, but still fun! ;D

You are the best Kelly! I really appreciate everything you do, and am happy to hear you are feeling better!
Thanks, Jason!

Back issues are the absolute worst, so no problem. Great update, and thanks, Kelly!
They are definitely NOT cool that's for fucking sure. ;D
