I think it's less that I have a design idea in mind and more that there are story parameters and context to consider and sometimes I'm the best (or at least primary?) voice for those parameters? I think that's probably how most of my part of steering the design comes in?
Another incredible and illuminating interview. As I was reading Part 2, a question occurred to me for Carmen... and then you asked it! It was the part about whether her favorite designs are ever the ones that get ultimately chosen (and how she deals with it when they don't win the day). As you said, her answer was great! Teamwork makes the dream work, and all that. :)
I know I speak for EVERYONE when I say we all would LOVE to see you and Carmen work together again - dream team! 🔥🔥💯
Another terrific post. Do you have design ideas in your head, or is it better to have the artist start fresh with character/setting/etc?

So, it is an iterative process?

I found my interview chops quite rusty when I started this up, so I'm glad to hear this!
love Love LOVE Carmen's work. Thanks for sharing this!
Chiming in again to say (again) how cool these bts looks are
Thanks, David! Carmen rocks, as do her design chops.
