Welcome back to Process Junkie where we look at the behind the scenes making of comics from all different angles. Today we’re talking with the fantastic Lee Garbett about superhero costume design - and specifically the insanely popular “Dark Carol” Captain Marvel look!
Absolutely fab interview, I love Lee's work and will pick up anything he does - Skyward and Shadecraft are both amazing! - I also really love the fact that you were into Carol's dark eye make-up just because it looks freaking cool but serves absolutely no purpose, that's brilliant and such a comic thing! I also just want to say, without getting all mushy, that I really love everything you give us here - it's just brilliant, thank you 🔥🔥💯👌
Really dug this interview (and the Process Junkies thing as a whole). i admit I was a little bummed initially going into this arc because I really loved Carmen Carnero’s work. and no shot at Lee! I was simply unfamiliar with his work to that point but man, I quickly became a fan and follow his stuff now (Shadecraft is awesome, still need to check out his Dr Strange book). Hope you guys get to work together again at some point!
Loved this!

Is it wrong that I prefer the 'dark' design? I just associate Carol with black and red as a color scheme.
