ONE HUNDRED POSTS
So today is One Hundred Posts on this substack since we went “Pro” (aka paid) just sliiiiightly over a year ago. Woof. I honestly cannot believe how the time has flown. It’s been a wild year.
I just wanted to mark the moment, to thank ALL of you. And note some cool things we did here together over the last 100 posts! Also, I tried to make you guys Jeff cookies with my DIY Jeff cookie cutter… but they were a disaster. So instead you’ll have to see my funny DIY Jeff promotion for a Reddit AMA I’m doing TODAY (10/12/22 12pm PT/ 3pm ET) here.
I know you guys have sort of constant access to me via Substack, but I would love to see some familiar faces if you have the time to stop by!
But onto the recognition of our 100th post milestone!
First. As some of you may remember, I pledged all of my cut of the first year of earnings via Substack to be donated to Trans and LGBT charities — I was happy to report back in December 2021 that thanks to this Substack and all of you that we donated $750.00 to The Trans Lifeline and $750.00 to The Trevor Project.
Now that “Year One” has closed out I made our 2022 Donation and it was a surprisingly robust $260.00 to The Trans Lifeline and $260.00 to The Trevor Project — which means we gave just over a grand to each of these charities within the last year. Thank you for your help in supporting these charities.
Second. As mentioned previously, the Paid Subscriber Tiers have been lowered to $5/month and $50/year. And anyone that was subscribed at the yearly level, had their subscription extended automatically by me for 3 months. So by December I’ll try to have a bit more figured out on what Year 2 should be (beyond all the comics content you have already been promised) — and we can all talk about what the shape of this thing is going to be going forward. For now! MORE COMICS!
Third. EVEN MORE COMICS. I was hoping we’d be a bit further along and I could do a very big announcement for our third book, which will be debuting on the Substack in 2023, but I don’t think we’re quite far enough along to do that — and I’d like to try to do a larger PR roll out for it anyway, so we’ll wait. But I thought I could at least show you guys the logo for book 3, which is by Rian Hughes (like all our logos here!) and I just love it so much:
Fourth. I said thank you, right? Thank you SO MUCH. These books are only possible thanks to you guys — it has been such an awesome experience to grow this with all of you and get to know you better over the last year and I hope we’ve got even more of that coming in 2023. <3
All right. Back to the grind for me. I hope all of you enjoy the return to your respective grinds as well — and I hope I’ll get to see some of your names at the AMA too. ;D
