Nothing Is More Important

You’ll be hearing more from me soon on lots of of our more regular comics and comics adjacent nerd stuff. But for today, there is nothing more important than just saying PLEASE VOTE.

If even JEFF wants you to vote, how can you resist?

[Obviously this is directed at US citizens — with apologies to our international readers, I’m sure you get real sick of American politics being talked about constantly — me too quite frankly — but I’m sure we can all agree how critical this is given how the whole world (and not just the US) is going right now. Thanks for your patience.]

Even if you’re afraid it’s too late — that you haven’t done what you needed to do — for many people in many states it’s actually NOT too late and there ARE things that you can do. Vote.org has incredible information and resources — state by state — so you can see the rules and guidelines for where you are, check to see if you’re registered, find your local polling place, etc.

IT’S NOT TOO LATE. There’s still many hours of this day left — and it may be a long line but it is truly the most valuable thing you can do with your day — it is both wildly selfish — YES! VOTE FOR YOUR SELF-INTERESTS! — and also a literal good — because PARTICIPATING IN DEMOCRACY IS GOOD FOR EVERYONE.

You CAN make a difference, and even if you fucked up until today and didn’t register and think it’s too late. For many of you there is still hope!

You can see at the link above how many states allow SAME DAY VOTING REGISTRATION. There are A LOT. So don’t beat yourself up that you fucked up. Just take a minute and get your shit together and do it. I know you can. You can do something today that means more than what you do on any other day — on ALL the days. It will feel so good, I promise you.

And if you live somewhere with mail-in voting — like me — you are so fucking lucky and it is so so easy — so please just make sure you get that thing dropped off today. It does no good on your kitchen counter but it means EVERYTHING in the ballot box. Just do it. See, even Nike wants you to. ;D
