Jeff issue with Magik and Wanda? Oh this was made for me. Congrats on the Buffy announcement!!!! I must say I never got into the show but I love Tynion’s SIKTIC (and I suppose it has the same ideas) so maybe it’s something I should get into?
Also I’m 99.99% sure that Jeff Funko is real - they’ve been doing Rivals specific pops so it makes sense. Hopefully if it sells well that means they’ll do a more Gurihiru type of design for the next. Speaking of - did you see the custom Jeff sculpt someone brought to the F4 premier?? It was amazing.
Knowing you Damon, I do think you'd really love the show. Some of it has aged a bit poorly, but it's still well worth the watch. And Buffy is a heroine I'd put up against almost any other heroine I've ever read. She's incredibly complicated and powerful, and funny and weird, and lovable and flawed. She's tremendous. Truly.

No joke, as a fan of both you and these characters, this is something I've actually been thinking of. No question for me that you are perfect for this (dare I say, in hindsight even better than their original creator?) - I am beyond excited for this!
I've never watched Buffy before despite hearing so much about it growing up, so I'd be interested in joining a Buffy marathon or something that you host here as a first-time watcher. I think it's always more fun to watch and discuss content as a group! (I have a weekly movie club with friends)

I'm confused about what the Buffy/Angel books are. Ms. Tompson says what it isn't but not what it is. Reading between the lines, it sounds like it is another hard reboot that again ignores existing continuity, but the description is cagey enough that maybe it is something much weirder?
I would say it IS weirder than something obvious and that's why the statement IS cagey, but it's also why I can't really expand much. Sorry!
If you liked the shows at any point -- I think you will at least find this very interesting. If you have never watched/liked the show, then it might be for you, but might not, bit of a question for sure.
