Now Alan Davis writing and drawing Excalibur brings back memories. He was o good on Excalibur and so meh on X-Men. I have a Kitty Pryde drawing by him and he just shined.
Excalibur definitely felt like the stars aligning for Davis. It's definitely my favorite of all his work (especially when he was writing for himself too).

I've been invited onto a podcast where I have to pick what I consider the best comic issue ever and it absolutely will be one from that Excalibur run...maybe the one where they go to the dinosaur dimension and the reveal is that the dinosaurs are all living in complete harmony with their environment and so if anything ever happens to their very advanced civilization all anyone will end up finding will be bones?
Oh my gosh I can’t wait to put my hands on the Absolute! It looks absolutely amazing! And I’m looking forward to showing that Jeff to my youngest kids. I’m sure they love it! My oldest will just have to wait until I read the Absolute (that will be like a couple of hours…)!
