Okay, well, a post that isn’t ENTIRELY about THE CULL. ;D
OCTOBER I LOVE YOU! (I do love it but I’m maybe just glad FOC has passed — it’s all very stressful).
First up! The second issue of BIRDS OF PREY! Yay!
So I believe where the “!” are in two weird places…those are supposed to be like, redacted text? And I think there’s another bit of redacted text completely missing. Not sure what happened there but at least the words aren’t actually there - hello spoilers! So it should be more like:
“Their target: XXXXXXX! She’s being held on XXXXXX by a battalion of XXXXXX.”
Anyway, let’s roll that beautiful bean footage. I mean, birds. Bird footage! This joke was bad. I’m sorry.
What about some Jeff? My boi Jeff is back with a vengeance! Not only was his second ever print collection IT’S JEFF: THE JEFFVERSE #1 (collecting all of IT’S JEFF Season 2) announced and Gurihiru’s new cover revealed, but Season 3 of IT’S JEFF on Marvel Unlimited was confirmed for this fall.

I am just noticing now this says ON SALE IN NOVEMBER and I… do not know what to make of that, reader. It seems likely this is an error/typo and it WILL be out in OCTOBER since it was in the October Solicits, but I’ll ask about this too.
And just when you thought you had escaped THE CULL…ha!
We’re doing a sort of weird (?) fun (?) thing with the solicits where I keep them short and weird (?) and maybe fun (?) — YMMV. Either way, the covers are GORGEOUS.
As mentioned above, these are CONNECTING covers. And they are very very cool. Here’s a rough assemblage of the first three together. SO. FUCKING. COOL.

This is why I was #4 on the contest... I had a few seconds thinking of *other* books I like besides all of these. The Cull continues to be looking more and more excellenter. And Bachalo! Chris Bachalo! So terrific, I love all his stuff. I wowed out loud on that second cover. Birds is gonna be great!
