Jeff & Mojo Mash-up Madness!
As those of you picking up TODAY’S issue of JEFF THE LAND SHARK: SUPERSTAR #1 now know — Mojo loves his “mash-up creations” — and Jeff is going to come face to face with them next issue and be…very confused:

I just love the personality Tokitokoro gets in every shot of Jeff, they get him so well. And we’re having a blast on this series which I think goes much bigger and bolder and crazier than our last one. <3
Orders have not gone out yet. I’ve started working on them, but decided to wait on shipping because THE ABSOLUTE WONDER WOMAN #20s HAVE COME IN! I REPEAT, WE HAVE ABSOLUTE WONDER WOMAN #20! Woooooo.
Yup, the box finally arrived and it’s got ALL the covers in it — including a gorgeous Dan Quintana SDCC Exclusive Variant I didn’t really know existed that has like five very cool variations — including a gorgeous B&W with gold foil accents — very pretty. There’s also an SDCC Exclusive Jeehyung variant of a stunning Diana and a version done with a glow-in-the-dark effect — which is maybe very cool…but I just haven’t tested it in the dark yet? Anyway, those are cool, but will not pop up in he shop until around/post SDCC later this month.
In the meantime, all the non-exclusive covers for AWW #20 ARE in the webstore now.
For any of you that want to grab an AWW #20 to add to an order you already placed — you CAN place an all-new order, and the duplicate shipping will be refunded to you when the order ships.
The promo code BIRTHDAYGIRL is still valid for 22% off your order, one use per order.

JEFF THE LANDSHARK: SUPERSTAR #1 is out TODAY everywhere good comics are sold!
Here’s a preview for JEFF THE LAND SHARK: SUPERSTAR #1 is up at Graphic Policy. If Jeff looks a bit odd to you in these opening pages, know that that is purposeful (and temporary).
I’m doing a different thing this week where I integrate the sneak peeks into each section, instead of giving them their own section. We’ll see if we like it!
In the spirit of that — here’s an awesome page from JEFF THE LANDSHARK: SUPERSTAR #2 showing off all our mash-up characters and a very confused Jeff. This is by artist Tokitokoro and colorist Jim Campbell:
You may have seen this floating around. ;D
I showed you guys these two previously in black and white — but the color is gorgeous too — this is a pair of panels from AWW #22 (out at the end of the month).
Also really love this one. These are both by artist Dillon Snook, colorist Jordie Bellaire, and letterer Becca Carey:
And here’s one shot from ABSOLUTE WONDER WOMAN #23 by Hayden Sherman (out in August):
Den of Geek said some nice things about our upcoming BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN LIVES book. Reminder, this is out starting in OCTOBER. But it doesn’t hurt to call your shops now and let them know you want it. <3
And I’m not going to be able to keep being so generous with sneaks of this one — but here’s the rest of that page that I teased one panel from the other day. This is art/colors by Mattia De Iulis, lettering by Becca Carey:
ALSO! While we’re here — I’ve noticed Mattia is selling a bunch of his original art from the ABSOLUTE WONDER WOMAN Annual and some BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN LIVES art maybe? (I saw a cover listed!) — so if you’ve long been a fan wanting to grab something — this may be your shot!
As promised I have been making the rounds with Buffy and Angel talk!
I talked to Matthew Aguilar at Comic Book.com about the Buffyverse.
I also talked to Alex and Pete at Comic Book Club Live about Buffy and Angel (and some Jeff and Absolute Wonder Woman snuck in there as well)
I’m still having to play it very careful with sneak peeks right now for Buffy and Angel, but there are covers out there now for BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER #3 and ANGEL #2 that I haven’t shown here yet, so we’ll make do with those for now.
I should note that I have seen more covers than this in both cases — so some are definitely missing — possibly they are waiting for approval from the licensor? I should also note that the redactions are sometimes underselling how fun some of these are — the Swaby Buffy #3 redacted cover is one of my favorites for sure…it’s honestly pretty cool even with the redaction, but without it…VERY fun. ;D

For Angel #2, again, there are some missing, you can tell from site like League Of Comic Geeks that there’s at least a David Nakayama and a Meghan Hetrick missing here — again, possibly licensor issues? Regardless, I think these are all pretty great, but I’m especially partial to Meredith’s badass offering — the subway does make it feel a bit more “new york” but something about the coloring and whole vibe gives me great L.A. vibes (and hell, of course). ;D
As if in solidarity, while we were sick in June, the cats somehow also got sick? We may have ALL picked it up at the damn vet of all places. But fortunately their sickness only lasted a day or two (their immune systems put ours to shame I assume?) and have been back to their usual tricks for a long time now. Proof of life:
Also, here’s Monarch being an adorable goofball and remembering how much he loves the “sharkball” which Clive is constantly flattening into a bed instead of a fun den/ball/thing. Also pictured, Clive’s troublesome tail, surely about to knock something over:
Okay. That’s it for now, more soon. Take care of each other out there. <3
Kelly

This new Jeff issue was genuinely so charming and funny! Gorgeous art and letters to boot 🤘
PSA: We must protect Ken at all costs.
Happy belated, Kelly! Loved this first issue of Jeff. Super cute. I can see some of the remnants of ideas that we talked about for it already! Also, getting Kate & Illyana their own mash-up is just perfection. Tokitokoro really nails those Gurihiru vibes with Jeff very well. Looking forward for more!
