Yeah. This is an anthology -- second issue of the second volume. Looks like the book is 40 pages, Annie's and my story is 10 of that. But we make those 10 pages WORK. ;D
Please, tell me you're going to write Batgirl(s). Also please climb DC ladder to became next writer on Wonder Woman after King's run. Can't wait to read your DC books!
I am curious to see how you'll deal the DCU's horniest pansexual anti-heroine.
Also, it is great to see you working with DC. They really do have the best roster of female superheroes: Wonder Woman and Black Canary (and Hawkgirl). Starfire and Raven. Supergirl (and Power Girl) and Batgirl (and Huntress). Fire and Ice. The Legionaires. Amanda Waller. Vixen. Cass Cain. Katana. It is massive sandbox for someone with your skillset and interests.
Ironically, when I was first trying to break in, I was much closer to getting in at DC than Marvel...but that ended up going the other way. Excited to try this new path and see what it brings! I think you'll like what I've got coming. ;D
I have always felt like DC had a bigger breadth of female characters than Marvel. Starting in the Silver Age, they had 'trad wives' in Sheyera Hol and Iris West and career-oriented women in Jean Loring, Carol Ferris, and (of course) Lois Lane. For Millennial readers, they were introduced to the universe through the DCAU which added a major female character to the homosocial Batman franchise and then took a real, ongoing interest in female characters in boys cartoons. Gen Z came in through the Teen Titans (with Raven and Starfire), Batman: Brave and The Bold (with Fire, Ice, and an arc for Vixen), and then Justice League Action.
I greatly appreciate you posting this on Substack. It’s a much more enjoyable environment
Agreed!
(And thank you!)
Hot damn!!! Great Friday news!
Well, shoot. Now I'm going to have to buy a DC book...
Maybe MORE than one! Oh no! ;D
Is this your way of saying you're moving over to DC? ;)
YESSSSSS
So cool! Is this a one-shot? Anthology? I love Harley.

Nice! Knew you'd be a great fit for Harley!

WOOO!!! Can’t wait to pick it up! Is this the super secret project you were working on??
This was a tiny (but fun) announcement.
Real big one coming. ;D
Harley in your hands will be so much fun. Ngl
Fantastic news!

Thanks, Dean. Means a lot.

You'll be awesome.

There is definitely an embarrassment of riches on the character side, no doubt. I have my eye on some for sure. ;D
It is a sleeping giant that really needs writers who can create distinct female voices ... like you.
I hope you're right!
Hard to imagine just one writer making a difference like that, but it's truly kind and generous that you'd see me like that, Dean. Thanks.
Annie Wu cover. You love to see it
Oh niceeeee!!!
Congratulations on your first DC endeavor! Looking forward to picking up the book!
YES!!!!!! Excellent news!
That’s a sick cover. Looking forward to reading this!
