Some of you may have seen THIS beauty floating around — a variant cover for ABSOLUTE WONDER WOMAN #16 (Jan) by Guillem March. And boy oh boy if that isn’t gonna help launch some ships I don’t know what will. lol
We got a really beautiful BIRDS OF PREY send off by Alex Jaffe at DC.Com. Alex has been a real champion of the book and I appreciate it so much.
I did a podcast about the end of BOP with Stella (who has the greatest podcast voice!) at BATGIRL TO ORACLE last week:
The best of the year lists are starting to come in and this one from The Beat features ABSOLUTE WONDER WOMAN so I obviously love it, but it’s a really big diverse list of super interesting looking books. There are some books on here I haven’t even heard of but have now added to my list. Man, I just love comics.
Really agree with Daniel here:
Like…speak for yourself morons. You never had any ideas in the first place, that’s part of how we got here.
There was also this depressing as hell bit:
A well-known/well-repsected reviewer admitting (bragging?) publicly that he fast forwards through the material… I mean, don’t ever listen to this guy? Like I don’t know what to say, you have one of the best/coolest/easiest jobs in the current universe and you’re fast forwarding through it?! It’s so disrespectful to everyone — the material, the creators, and the readers/viewers/fans.
In other news, Pluribus is great. And if you’re fast forwarding though the material, you’re not actually watching it.
Also on Bluesky this week/weekend, a great piece writer John Scalzi wrote about AI.
I often times see people (not many comics folks I’m happy to say) talk about how being against AI is like being against the future — like being against the invention of the automobile or electricity to replace candles. But when the technology is controlled and manipulated by a handful of the richest people in the world whose only interest seems to be in making themselves more rich…it’s hard for me to see that correlation.
When every plan these techbros come up with (when they even have one by the way) it looks like they read all the best most terrifying and most prescient sci-fi and learned NOTHING from those books but instead wants to bend our world into those nightmares…it becomes hard to believe there’s ever going to be “electricity in every home” because…they do not care about us at all. There are no plans for that. Anyway, read the article, as usual other people have said better things about these ideas that I have.
I know this is all you guys want in the world. ;D
Another peek at ABSOLUTE DIANA and ABSOLUTE BRUCE meeting for the first time in the 12/24/25 issue of ABSOLUTE WONDER WOMAN #15. An historic issue — so I hope you guys have got yours ordered! All art and colors by Hayden Sherman and Jordie Bellaire. Lettering by Becca Carey:
All right. That’s it for me. My hope is to post again before the end of the year, but just in case my nemesis gets the best of me, I want to thank all of you for an incredible year.
A lot of my plans and ambitions have gone awry this year for various reasons, but the number one reason is the incredible success of ABSOLUTE WONDER WOMAN and our viral bouncing boi JEFF and the opportunities (and pressures) that’s created — and even if I feel guilt about how much I did/failed at this year — it’s hard to be too frustrated when it’s things you love and have worked so hard on are taking off and becoming bigger than you expected.
But there’s so much to come for 2026 — a lot more ABSOLUTE WONDER WOMAN, more JEFF THE LANDSHARK, a new mini-series with one of my favorite collaborators I can’t wait to share with you guys, and of course these huge BUFFY and ANGEL books from Dynamite that I’m finally going to be able to start talking about — and a whole lot more.
Thank you all for your continued support and kindness. It means more than you know. And I wish all of you a happy and peaceful end of the year with friends and family. We certainly all deserve a break after this last goddamn year.
~Kelly

The Guillem March cover is... just wow. I usually don't pick up additional covers other than Hayden's at release but I'm thinking issue #16 is definitely going to be an exception. It's beautiful!
I think content on the Internet has wired some people's brains to perceive silence as "nothing is happening," which is extremely unfortunate since I feel like that silence is where movies and TV really shine. I hope people discredit that person's opinion given he clearly didn't fully watch the show...
The more I hear about AI, the more I'm both convinced it's being hyped to keep up this economic momentum and that it's a severe overpromise. I don't think these techbros are thinking about a future with AI, I really believe they're just thinking about the $$ in the next fiscal quarter. I couldn't agree more with your views here more.
Happy holidays and happy new year!
Birds of Prey was always at the top of my list! I’ll be keeping an eye out for more of your stuff.
