I don’t know that it’s going to actually end up as a cover or not — but wherever it ends up, it’s gorgeous, and will give you an awesome peek at what guest artist Arist Deyn is cooking up for the interiors on BIRDS OF PREY 5 (out the first week of January!)

Okay, how about that BIRDS OF PREY art by guest artist Arist Deyn? Yeah, here we go!

The whole issue honestly has this wild kinetic vibe. Very fun. And coming as it does, right after our incredible BIRDS OF PREY #4 “EVERYONE FIGHT!” ISSUE (NEXT WEEK!!!!), I think it’s an especially cool treat.

I also just want to take a second and say thank you to all of you that followed me over to DC and tried out BIRDS OF PREY. The book has been a wild success — every issue has made the Top 10 of Bleeding Cool’s Bestseller list (which is based on them surveying top shops to see what’s actually selling) and the just released ICv2 numbers show BOP #2 in the top 20 (and beating Wonder Woman #2, which is shocking). So THANK YOU. I’d like to write this book a long time and you’re all helping that to happen by not only reading, but spreading the word. It means a lot to me.

Speaking of, I haven’t talked much about the BIRDS OF PREY: UNCOVERED #1 releasing in February. I don’t know exactly what covers are inside, but Leo, Jordie, and I did a little one page strip to open the book that is pretty damn fun. That plus this incredibly gorgeous (and secretly inspiring, don’t ask!) Greg Tocchini cover should be enough to sell folks I’d think:
