Honestly the divine designs (pun fully intended) have all been just that, but man Persephone's truly is something else 😍😍😍

The combo of "nature princess" and "underworld queen" is very fun and deserves more play. Don't be surprised to see her pop up again somewhere. ;D

I know I haven't commented in a while (busy, work being sucky, other life stuff) but I just want to emphasize how much you and all your teams have been firing on all cylinders the past year+. Putting out the best stuff out there, consistently; it's frankly kind of ridiculous.

I'm kicking myself for not getting in an order for an AWW hardcover straight from you. I might still do the softcover but I also might still get an HC locally even though it makes no sense for me to have two copies, just because it's so nice and the arc really is an all-timer. Even with an impending new car payment looming in my near future - I've had my current one for 17 years so I'd say I got money's worth on that one at least.

Anyway, I also want to note that I finally got caught up on all things Jeff, and his and Ken's Spider-Man costume legit killed me - I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. I even showed it to my mom who knows nothing about Jeff, and she cracked up. So good.

One probably belated question: obviously (in-comic) Ken got his name from the sign he was perched upon (brilliant, by the way), but how much was his naming influenced by your ever-burning torch for Ryan Gosling, who perhaps is now the most famous of Kens?

I'm sorry things have been tough, especially on the work front. That's the only thing that HAS been working for me, so I get how bad it feels when even that is going wrong. We also replaced a truly ancient car recently and it's great but also... not. lol.

I'm so glad the Jeff costumes continue to land. ;D

There was actually NO thought of Gosling when naming Ken, it was all about the sign and the word Kraken and Gwen being hilariously obvious. BUT I do love it as a delicious after the fact perk. ;D

I love everything here! But one thing I love especially about the Persephone design is that the chain mail on either side of her face is giving real “tears flowing” vibes. If I’m remembering right, it was never Persephone’s idea to be married and confined to Hades, and this continued condition brought her ongoing sadness. The way the mail flows away from her cheekbones under the eyes really reinforces her sadness and tears in an understated and almost unmistakeable way. It’s beautiful and haunting.

I love that. You are mostly right about the Persephone lore and you're also right that this is a great symbolic element. I don't know if that was Hayden's original intention, but it certainly works for me.

Iconic evergreen designs. These are going to be THE WW designs going forward.

And even if they're not... I hope they (and books like Historia) can help push the creativity and ideas forward -- especially as relates to the Greek gods and the more mythological elements.

Cool stuff. Zatanna's face mask has me thinking of Tom Hardy Bane, but meanwhile, AWW # 13 this week? Chef's kiss! So good, especially the Derrick Chew variant I got. Best cover of the entire run thus far.

LMAO! Fair. Which opens up plenty of conflict to explore with Zee, which you will no doubt handle flawlessly. :)

Always happy reading your work. The Cull seems still fresh in my mind, and it's already since 2023, sheesh! Are you doing further stories on that one? It feels like you've only just begun.
